when my mom ped away suddenly, this goes back over 23 years now, I thought I'd have to take care of my dad and all. No, he totally and completely locked me out. He did everything, never wanted help, wouldn't even talk about things even when I knew he was hurting. Because of that it took me years to openly grieve for my mother. Then my dad became ill with cancer. Prospects were good in the beginning but as with these type of things the cancer returned after treatment and his quality of life slowly began to lessen. He still wouldn't ask for help but I was always there with meals, cleaning, checking on him sometimes three time during the day and twice at night and I was working part time as well as raising teen agers and keeping up with all their activities. It wasn't until he was literally days from ping that he told me thank you for helping and I should have asked for help sooner. At least he did express it to me. But I was left with regrets, a house to take care of, his belongings to sort through. I guess that's usual but it seemed to me to be a mountain I could never climb. I did and now have peace although it has taken me ten years. Each of our three children has had a chance to live in their grandpa's house for a time. It's become a right of page for each on their road to independence. I know my dad would have approved and the kids are now helping share the expenses of keeping the house and property. Faith played a big part, yes, as did support from my husband.

I'm a transplant patient, who has been having problems keeping insurance. My roommate, Gabriel for about a year, is 23 and I’m 24. I am a and she is I guess, “Free to express herself” or so she says. She is a very beautiful girl! Anyway, for the p month or so she’s been very moody, getting very upset over minor irrelevant things and then she’ll start crying. She’s been having nightmares lately and I believe it’s linked with her sudden moodiness. Tonight we were watching a movie, sitting on the couch. I hadn’t realized she had started to doze until the weight of her body pressed against mine. She turned in her sleep snuggling along the side of my body, burying her face into the arch of my neck. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling closer. About 30 mins later I noticed she felt hot, like she had a fever. I called her name and gently nudged her. She woke up but was naturally still out of it. I got up and asked her if she was feeling okay? She shook her head no. I got a thermometer and checked her temperature, it was 103.5. Her cheeks were slightly flushed. I told her I would take her to see a doctor. And this is where it happened… she Freaked!!! “Noo, please don’t! I don’t want to.” She tried to get up knocking into me, and lost her balance. I grabbed her before she fell. She tried to push me, pulling away from my hold. Her eyes were huge, frightened, she was breathing very heavy and trembling. She began kicking and screaming at me. I didn’t let her go because I was afraid she would fall and hurt herself. I didn’t know what else to do! So, I shook her. Her head snapped back, and she looked at me confused and fearful. She was very silent and it was scaring me. I pulled her close and held her, stroking her back and hair, telling her sorry and she was safe. It felt like her heart was boring into my chest. I felt so helpless when she started to cry so hard! Her entire body shook with every sob. She began begging me, “Please, ple-ase don’t make me go.” I sat back down on the couch with her. And asked her why she was so afraid to go? I could barely understand her through the crying. However, she said she had a bad experience as a child with her family doctor and has been I guess traumatized ever since. I tried to get more out of her but she couldn’t go on. I held her trying to comfort her, until she cried herself into exhaustion. She still has a fever. However it’s 102 now. I am still a bit in shock. I am not sure what I should do. I have an awful, sickening idea of what transpired. But I will try asking her more when she is feeling better. However, I’m not sure how I should go about it? I love her and I care a lot. So, I really need to know what the hell happened?! I really need some advice…please, what should I do?!!

27 weeks LMP today?

well according to several websites (eg www.i-am-pregnant.com), my wife has reached the thrid trimester today! woo hoo! (although some believe it starts at week 28 LMP)....she went to the doc yesterday as she noticed a decrease in kicking over a 24 hour period...so the doc put her mind at ease saying that if she gets 10 movements in 24 hours then she's ok..some babies kicks even less than that on some days..which is reuring...my main question today is...what can my wife expect now over the next 12/13 weeks...is there anything in particular she should be doing (she goes for a 20 min walk every day)...next doc appointment in 3 weeks, then hext hospital appointment is 2 weeks after that...thanks in advance

My mother and father have a very difficult situation. My dad is a CPA and does not make a ton of money, while my mom is a teacher (that is self explainatory). It can be an indoor plant permanently or it can be transferred to the garden in the summer. It will not survive temeratures of -28F Its a plant whose size you can control, by restricting the root ball, meaning that the more room you give the roots the bigger the plant will get. It can grow to 10ft high. It is suseptable to infection of a bug called "Thrips"a small red mite who seem to be very determined to eat the plant, so you need a good insecticidE. As for the amount of water it will need it should be kept moist not soaked. It really loves a water spray all over in conditions of central heating or high room temperatures. If you keep the plant indoors, put it in the greatest volumn of light and LEAVE it there it does not like to be moved. It does not produce a flower, just nice shiny green leaves. If the leaves do start to drop, stop watering. This small piece of info, I know is not a lot, but it is all I can tell you, I hope it helps.

What is best for me to use for my almost dead falling off hair!!!?

The best product out there is called "Nioxin" and you can actually get it at a lot of salons even a cheap place like a "Supercuts" if you have one near you. It was recommended to me by my stylist a couple summers ago when I was swimming all the time and always had my hair pulled back. I was getting a lot of breakage and damage and then, inexplicably it started falling out in clumps! I started using Nioxin and I couldn't believe how healthy my hair started to become. I would even say that it is probably healthier than before I started swimming! It was designed for cancer patients after chemotherapy so it is supposed to draw any toxins away from the hair follicle and promote new growth. It's about $35 for the starter kit (I always buy the kit) but I think you can purchase them individually for about $10 each (shampoo, conditioner, styling products). Building a king bed frame (platform bed) out of wood?

I am going to build a platform bed for our king mattress out of wood. No. I'm thrilled when parents want to be involved with their child's education. When I have an over exuberant parent, I find a way to but their energy to good use. Some people just like to argue and find fault with what others do; I don't worry about them, because I know I'm good at what I do and am confident in my decision making and abilities. I tend to use my sense of humor to lighten tense moments and then move on to positive interactions. I have set times for parent calls, and I stick to them. I can never fault a parent for being involved; mostly because I'm not only a teacher, I'm a parent too.

I am 29 years old.I was married very young and forced by my parents.I loved some other guy.But soon i was in a country far away from him and under a strict husband.We lost touch.I had just starting liking this new person (my husband), when i noticed that he is little strange.He has many diseases and to hit rock bottom, he would not bear me a child.Our relatioship is very platonic.He then forces me to use a donor sperm so that his parents whom he is very sccared of shouldnot know of it.I completely hated the idea of bearing a child whose roots are completely unknown to me.He kept telling that even though we wouldnot know of the donor we would atleast know that they would be doctors.co incidentialy, my father had to undergo a surgery at that time and i had to spent some time at the hospital.At this time, i was deeply attracted to a doctor.Then we became friends and sooner it evolved into a very pionate affair.He used to be very caring and sympathetic to me.Somewhere midway he discloses that he is married happily with a child.I couldnot withdraw from it at that point, since i was so fully dependent on him.But he promised me that he will help me in concieving a child.As time went by (We are in different countries and met only 5 times in 2 years) he lost interest in me (or seemingly) and he stopped calling me and avoiding me.I got so angry at him for that and shooed him away.At this point, i feel i have lost it.I know this relationship is absolutely disastrous for both of us.But knowing this, quite illogical and out of reasoning i yearn for this calls.I think,at this point, i have lost it and i feel i need professional help.But what kind of professional help will make me feel better.Is there a professional way of getting over him, because i feel i am going to die without the doc in my life.All my friends thought he was only exploiting my vulnerability and myself feel he was not genuine.But i am in constant denial of this fact and even though i decide thousand times, not to contact him, just now i contacted him again.I feel pathetic and miserable.Things seems to be out of my control.Should i take some medication? or go for counselling?What kind of counselling?Clinical or psychological?I think i have some sort of personality disorder.Please help....

Do vegans and vegetarians criticize the diet of those who do not have access to large varieties of vegetables?

Yeah, I know you can survive without consuming any animal products. However, that wasn't always true. Humans today aren't any different from humans hundreds of years ago. Well they may be slightly different. My point is, it's only possible now because it's easy for many people to access a large variety of non-animal based foods. Hundreds of years ago, people simply did not have access to the wide range of nutrients found in various exotic vegetables. People really only had access to local vegetables. This is still the case for many people. Do the vegetarians and vegans you criticize omnivores criticize these people too? Despite the fact that an omnivorous diet is their only option? There simply is not a wide enough variety of local vegetables to satisfy all the dietary needs.

Why don't you take a nice warm (not hot) shower or bath put some lotion on, watch a little tv or read a bit and attempt to go to sleep. That is what I had to do sometimes to fall asleep. Dead Ultra X-connect 500W ATX PSU?

I recently acquired this PSU from a friend, as it has been sitting in his shed for a few years. I plugged it in to an old computer to see if it works and the thing is dead. Now, I don't have much knowledge when it comes to circuitry or PSUs, nor do I have the parts that I would need in order to fix it. So, what do you think my best course of action is? If I took it to a small shop, would they be able to fix it? What kind of cost am I looking at for it to be fixed? Or am I better off just buying a new PSU? TTC with PCOS, need some help ladies?

I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago, and about 4 months ago we decided to TTC. I had no idea how much PCOS affected my body, and now after trying for four months with no luck I am looking to change my lifestyle in hopes to conceive naturally. I want to cut out bread, pasta, almost all refined carbs. I know eating eggs, meats, veggies, fruits are all good. I am also overweight, 5'5 and 185...I hear losing 10 lbs would also do wonders and some women that is all it takes and they get pregnant. I want to know from ladies with PCOS if you did these things and then got pregnant? Any other things I can do to help try to conceive sooner and naturally?

Yes, I would want to know. I would make her write at least three letters of apology-one to the student, one to the school, and one to the student's parents. She'd lose DS, computer, and television privileges for a week. Bullying is NOT tolerated here. If it was my son, he is in preK(moving up ceremony next month), but I would figure something out equal to what I would do as punishment for my daughter. When you get your own policy go back to your parents ins co and show them your proof of ins and tell them you want off of their policy. The only hold up I can see is that you are only 17. What happens to mucus if you can't cough it all out?

I have been to 4 doctors this week with a bad case of either bronchitis or possibly pneumonia. They sent me home with antibiotics and an inhaler and said to drink lots of water & take Mucinex. I have been out of work for 4 days now, sitting home next to a trash can coughing up junk. I'm at a point now where if I cough, there's a vibration in my chest like mucus is there, but nothing's coming up. What will happen if it never comes up? Does the body eventually take care of it, or do I need to force myself to keep coughing? I'm physically exhausted from coughing :(

You should get it, then bring in your calmest dog, let him get used to the cat, put him out, bring in the next calmest dog, so on and so on. bring the old cat in last. then two dogs at a time. until they all know each other. it should be fine, the dogs and your cat just need to learn that the kitten is part of the family now. It works, we had a Chow Chow mix, and a Great Pyrenee Newfoundland mix. thats what we did when we got a rabbit. and both of them had killed rabbits before. we did that, and pretty soon, even out cats had gotten used to the little bunny. upgrading the ram is not an issue, considering a 2 year old laptop should easily upgrade to 2 gb of ram. However, the video is the problem. Since only a small percentage of laptops have video cards, as opposed to integrated video, you would most likely not be able to upgrade your video to something that hat 256mb of it;s own ram. Thus, you really are looking at purchasing a new laptop, with the one criteria being 256mb or more of dedicated ram.

I have been out since Sunday and pretty much bed ridden til today with bronchitis. Well my ociate called me and said my boss was saying how he really hopes I am sick and I'm not just running around. This really disturbs me, and pisses me off. He has been ill before, and upper management gave him trouble for it, so he should KNOW better than to even question my sickness. The only reason he is mad is because he may have to cover my shift, which I'm sorry comes along with being a manager, and getting paid more. I don't know if I should vent this to him or just keep it quiet, but it's a very messed up situation I think. If I need personal days I would have just taken them, it's not like I am getting paid to sit here coughing and hacking my lungs away anyhow. Should I say something? Shock from pilot light?

My hot water is out, The boiler is off, I tried to relight it but doesn't work; just a faint flash and thats it. After a few rounds at trying to get it going again I noticed I kept getting a small shock, more of a tingle like those hand buzzers or shock gags, either way I'm wondering what the deal here is. Why do some athiests feel the need to slander christianity and make fun of it?

Not generalizing athiests in doing this, but I have come across many who do this. I understand that an athiest believes the idea of christianity to be absurd, but why can't some just respect the beliefs of others? Why my bank refuse to accept checks payable to me just a little older than 1 year?

The checks have no validity time limit on them. When I called my bank, they said it was their company rule to not accept checks older than 6 months (they claimed even that it was an industry wide standard practice). Thats why a lot of churches roofs are falling apart they can't afford all the health and safety even just to patch in lead flashing. I took every trade skill course i could as a kid, Car mechanics fabrication welding foundry work and turning, i doubt i knew half of what he knew.
