Samsung A650 + PS3 + BluRay does not = 120 hz (ever) ?

How come, after all the searching and comparing, i get a lcd that has all of the capabilities to make me a happy movie watcher, but i cannot utilize the ability to watch a movie at 120 hz? i have looked hi and low through my PS3, researched all the bluRay discs to ensure that all stones have been turned over, but as soon as i put in a blu-ray movie, the evil little display on the left hand corner says 1080X960 @ 60 Hz. i am saddened until i figure this out. it may be overated to watch a movie at 120 Hz, but i just want to see it appear one time in that stupid little corner. Then i can justify buying a TV instead of a motorcycle. Any help will be appreciated and honored.
