Do Tornadoes occur in the middle east (Gulf)? Qatar specifically?

almost never happens in Qatar but occurs rarely in Saudi, UAE , & Oman . Oman & UAE east coast , to a lesser degree, were hit by cyclone Guno ("hurricanes" occurring in Indian ocean are called cyclones). Good thing it slowed down to a thunderstorm category after it hit land or the damages would have been severe. Though Mu street were flooded and car dealers found their new cars flipped and rolled over in the mud by the cyclone. Tornado -like storms occur in interior desert areas and carry with them a lot of dust , they are called Genie's fountain in UAE.
