How much/is it cheaper is it to upgrade a laptop features. 2 years old.It features are not good enough for CAD?

upgrading the ram is not an issue, considering a 2 year old laptop should easily upgrade to 2 gb of ram. However, the video is the problem. Since only a small percentage of laptops have video cards, as opposed to integrated video, you would most likely not be able to upgrade your video to something that hat 256mb of it;s own ram. Thus, you really are looking at purchasing a new laptop, with the one criteria being 256mb or more of dedicated ram.
