Why the wanted men once became enemy later to USA?

Taking osama bin laden, he helped USA and taking Saddam Hussain, he was also a friend, wanted man to USA but both became enemy later. Even Castro too coming in this line. why this? Now, who is now most friend to USA, since they may also become enemy later.
